Anaheim Hills Community Council Gearing Up for Fourth of July Celebration
The Anaheim Hills Fourth of July Celebration is quickly approaching and the Anaheim Hills Community Council and the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce have a variety of events that are open to the community. The festivities begin with the Firecracker Run 5K/10K from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Canyon High School track, which will also be the site for the Pancake Breakfast that runs from 8 to 10 a.m. At 10 a.m., pet owners will converge on the Canyon High School campus for the Yankee Doodle Dog Show.
From there, focus will shift to Peralta Park where food booths will be feeding attendees from 3 to 8:45 p.m. while they enjoy entertainment from 4 to 8:45 p.m. and a Fourth of July Parade that starts at Canyon High School. Finally, the evening will culminate in a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks show beginning at 9 p.m.
****Parade begins at Canyon High School and will run down the NORTH side of Santa Ana Canyon Road and END at Pinney and Santa Ana Canyon Road. Parade viewing ONLY on the north side of Santa Ana Canyon Road… No parade viewing on the South Side of Santa Ana Canyon Road.

Day-long festivities begin with the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at 7 –11 a.m., followed by the Brea Ministerial Association morning service. The fair officially opens at 10 a.m. and free entertainment continues until 4 p.m.

Summer would not be complete without Coto de Caza’s 33rd Annual 4th of July Parade and Festival, hosted by The Rotary Club of Coto de Caza/Rancho Santa Margarita . The parade features classic cars, golf carts, self-made floats, sports teams, and performance groups for friends, family, and the community.
This year, the participation of Coto de Caza residents Dave and Barbara Hubert will be a featured parade highlight; they are excited to introduce their shiny, red-and-gold antique steam fire engine to this year’s Independence Day celebration. Weighing in at a whopping 10,700 pounds this 1902 fire engine will be pulled by the traditional three-horse-hitch of powerful draft horses. They will also be accompanied by their dog, Dottie the Dalmatian. Event festivities will kick off at 10 a.m. with the parade starting at Plano Trabuco and Coto de Caza Drive and ending at the Festival housed at the Sports Park in Coto de Caza.

Street parking is available along Camino del Avion with additional parking in the Sports Park Complex. No personal fireworks or barbecues will be permitted. Bicyclists attending the event are asked to walk bikes through the grounds for the safety of everyone.
